700 Club host Pat Robertson added to his repertoire of insane fundamentalist crackpot statements and said that the LGBT community is taking away everyone’s rights because they want rights of their own.
“We’re not talking about having rights from the ‘poor, oppressed gays,’ we’re taking away the freedoms of everybody who disagrees with them,” he said. “They’re taking away the rights of everybody.”
Robertson and others like him often say that white, conservative Christians are being persecuted by the world. This is wrong. They have the majority in America and still have all the power, and are holding American citizens hostage through their political manipulation, hatred, racism and bigotry.
