Rep Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, admitted Thursday that he and his committee found that Planned Parenthood had done nothing wrong. He did, however, say that an investigation will likely continue.

“Did I look at the finances and have a hearing specifically as to the revenue portion and how they spend? Yes. Was there any wrongdoing? I didn’t find any,” said Chaffetz. “Did we find any wrongdoing? The answer was no.”

Chaffetz conducted an aggressive investigation into whether Planned Parenthood was misusing its federal funds. Last week, he questioned Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards for five hours. It was essentially a means to bully Planned Parenthood and win points with the conservative fringe of the GOP.

Despite Chaffetz finding nothing that Republicans could use to defund Planned Parenthood, he mentioned that the committee will still investigate the agency. Way to waste taxpayer money.
