In July, a pro-Confederate flag group raided a black child’s birthday party by driving huge trucks, flying the Confederate flag, and yelling racist slurs at the birthday party. A grand jury in Douglas County, Georgia indicted 15 members of the group for violating terrorism and gang laws.

Douglas County District Attorney Brian Fortner announced the indictments Monday. The 15 members belong to a group called Respect the Flag. Prosecutors say the members violated the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act when they decorated their trucks with the Confederate flag and terrorized a black neighborhood.

One guest captured some of the harassment on film and posted the video online. It’s refreshing to know that this brand of racism is being addressed and punished.
