Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO Martin Shkreli donated $2,700 to the Bernie Sanders campaign in an attempt to coax the candidate into a meeting with him. Sanders rejected the contribution and donated it to a Washington HIV clinic.
Shkreli took to Twitter and expressed disgust at Sanders’ decision to give the money away rather than keep it. The Pharma Bro couldn’t have anticipated the ensuing fallout after his tweet.
After that tweet, Pharma Bro received a Twitter storm of anger.

@MartinShkreli @BernieSanders 4 of your pills cost more than your donation.

@MartinShkreli Then why are you whining? Oh, right, because you learned the hard way your money can’t buy access.

@MartinShkreli @BernieSanders He did something good with it, likely the first time your $ has been used for good.
