Ben Carson has pulled ahead of Donald Trump in a poll in Iowa. Carson now has an 8-point lead over Trump.
As ABC News reports:
Carson garners 28 percent support from likely Republican caucus-goers in the Hawkeye state, climbing 8 points over the last month to his highest support there yet. Trump earns 20 percent, dropping 7 points in the last month.
While certainly no sign that the Republican party is moving to more moderate candidates, this may be an indication that the violent rhetoric of Donald Trump is losing ground to the peaceful presentation of Ben Carson.
Marco Rubio has also climbed in the polls, gaining 8 points as well, at 13 percent support. Ted Cruz holds 10 percent support. Rand Paul is clinging to life at 6 percent, Jeb Bush and Carly Fiorina are dead in the water with 5 percent.
