A viewer called into The 700 Club and explained to host Pat Robertson how he banned his gay grandson from bringing his partner to Thanksgiving dinner. “The presence of his sex partners would not be welcome in our home,” said the caller.

Robertson said that the caller was “taking the right stand.”

“Otherwise you become an enabler,” he added, “and you’re condoning that. The chances are there’s a real good chance that he might come out of that so-called lifestyle, but if you’re going along with it, he says, ‘Well, mom likes it, so it’s okay.’ He’s trying to get you to affirmatively accept what he’s doing.”
