Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) really doesn’t like doing the job he was elected to do in the United States Senate, as he keeps skipping Senate votes.
“I don’t know that ‘hate’ is the right word,” said Rubio to the Washington Post. “I’m frustrated.”
A friend of Rubio’s said that the Florida senator “hates” the Senate. According to the Post, Rubio isn’t sure if he’ll run for Senate again if he loses the Republican presidential race. Rubio also said the Republican party does nothing but wait until election years to push their agenda.
“For two years, we just tried to slow-dance and wait for the 2012 election,” Rubio said. “And then, when that didn’t work out, we spent two years trying to position ourselves for ’14. Now it’s [2015], and the argument is, ‘We’ve gotta wait to elect the president.’”
Rubio has missed one-third of all Senate votes this year, yet he thinks government employees should be held accountable for not doing their job. What’s a Republican without hypocrisy?
