Senator Bernie Sanders finally seized the opportunity Saturday night to capitalize on Hillary Clinton’s historically close ties with Wall Street in order to reveal Clinton for the bought-and-sold establishment candidate she really is.
When asked how Sanders felt about Clinton’s speech promising to go after big banks, Sanders had this to say:
“Not good enough. Why, over her political career, has Wall Street been the major campaign contributor to Hillary Clinton? Maybe they’re dumb and they don’t know what they’re gonna get, but I don’t think so.”
Sanders has done a fantastic job during this debate and the previous one to draw a clear correlation between the quality of campaign donors and the sort of results that come from a candidate elected with so many large donors.
