Dr. Ben “Malpractice” Carson said at a rally in Mobile, Alabama on Thursday that the U.S. should respond to refugees the way a mother would respond to a rabid dog in her neighborhood.

Nevermind the fact that a rabid dog is quite easy to spot from a mile away, and that Carson’s scenario doesn’t have the rabid dog posing as a starving, cold, whimpering dog among hundreds of other starving, cold, whimpering dogs, this metaphor is a sickening one.

“For instance, you know, if there is a rabid dog running around your neighborhood, you’re probably not going to assume something good about that dog, and you’re probably gonna put your children out of the way,” Carson said. “Doesn’t mean that you hate all dogs by any stretch of the imagination.”

Watch Dr. Malpractice reduce the suffering of thousands to the mouth-foaming of a dog loose in a neighborhood.
