A task force created for Afghanistan reconstruction has been revealed to be extremely wasteful, spending more than $150 million on luxury housing for government employees that could easily have stayed in existing DOD facilities.
The facility included three star food service and flat screen tv’s and DVD players in every room. The Young Turks’ Cenk Uyger details the luxurious elements of the facilities and their outlandish costs.
Uyger also mentions Republican Senator Chuck Grassley as an example of an outraged GOP official who might normally bow to any and all military spending, who is apparently outraged at the thoughtless expense.
When the conservative party is mad at military spending, you know that someone has messed up!
