After CNN and MSNBC gained entry into the apartment of the San Bernardino shooters, following the conclusion of the F.B.I.’s investigation of the home, CNN’s Anderson Cooper hosted a panel to discuss the merits of entering the apartment and rifling through the items inside.

Throughout the conversation, they spoke of how the apartment had been returned to the possession of the landlord, as required by law, but completely disregarded the ethics of the journalists corrupting the scene for any future expanded investigation.
