Competing against the Pope, Malala Yousafzai, Elon Musk, Nicki Minaj, and even star racehorse American Pharaoh, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has risen to the top of the online Time poll for Person of the Year.

Senator Sanders dominated the online poll, gaining 10.2 percent of the vote. The closest popular choice was Malala Yousafzai who garnered 5.2 percent.

Whether or not Senator Sanders will be the official Time Magazine Person of the Year will be released on Wednesday when editors will announce their official pick.

This powerful show of support is further proof that America is slowly coming to recognize the revolutionary power that Senator Sanders’ campaign holds, and that there is something completely unique in the way this man wants to run our nation.
