Republican Presidential candidate Ted Cruz released hours of unedited footage for PAC’s to use in pro-Cruz advertisements. Salon has taken the most awkward and uncomfortably scripted bits in order to explore just how fake Cruz’s whole act really is.

Highlights include Cruz claiming that his mother prays for him for hours every day while his mother stares into the camera with a face that says “not quite, but ok,” and a clip featuring Cruz’s teenage cousins who have no actual idea what they are doing on camera.

Cruz, more than any other candidate in the election cycle this season, has done an excellent job crafting a bulletproof fake facade, but we think we can see the robot glitching in these clips.
