In an interview with Yahoo! News on Thursday, key adviser to the Donald Trump Presidential campaign said that Trump was focusing on gaining the African-American vote because “the [Latinos] that don’t like Trump aren’t even here legally and they can’t vote.”

“The truth, yeah, I’m trying to coordinate it because I am mindful of the fact that, you know, there are coalitions and I’m talking about now like Hispanic coalitions that … will not support Trump,” Cohen explained. “And that’s OK because the ones that don’t like Trump aren’t even here legally and they can’t vote, so it doesn’t really matter, right? And I understand their point of view. They’re — they do not want to be asked to leave right? And go back where? Go back to their homes? You know they don’t want to. So I understand.”

The coalitions that Cohen refers to are groups like the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda and the Conservative National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, which are most certainly American-run and American-comprised organizations that oppose Trump.

Trump knows that gaining minority votes are extremely important to the success of his campaign, but letting his empty-headed crony write off an entire minority group is idiotic and campaign suicide. Love it.
