Hillary has just dropped the news that her self-proclaimed “not-so-secret weapon” Bill Clinton will be joining her during campaign events in New Hampshire beginning in the New Year.
A coveted democratic surrogate with a high favorability rating, Hillary is hoping that her husband will excite the voters and support her in the struggle for the democratic nomination. Considering his effectiveness in Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign, it’s easy to see why Hillary is relying on Bill’s charisma on the campaign trail, but not everyone agrees he’s an asset.
GOP frontrunner Donald Trump decided he would address her announcement, and with a predictable lack of tact, took his attack to social media. “If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women’s card on me, she’s wrong!” he tweeted.
Only time will tell who is right. We at The Ring of Fire are predicting that Bill will end up being a tremendous asset for Hillary and the Democratic Party.
