The moment the polls officially closed in New Hampshire, media outlets CNN, Associated Press, and others instantly declared Senator Bernie Sanders to be the winner of the NH Primary.

As of 8 PM ET., Sanders has 53 percent of the vote to Clinton’s 40 percent, though this number will change as results continue to roll in.

Unlike the Iowa caucus, the results are clear enough at this point to project Sander’s victory. This is a triumph for the one-time underdog candidate so early in the election.
