Republicans love to exaggerate the goals and intentions of the Democratic party and Jeb! is no exception. Friday, the littlest Bush attacked Hillary Clinton, saying that if she were elected, she would eliminate the second amendment.

“If Hillary Clinton gets the four Supreme Court justices, the Second Amendment won’t exist. It just won’t.”

Jeb is referring to the oft-mentioned and highly coveted possibility that several justices will retire in the next several years, allowing the current president, Democrat or Republican, to make the important choice of who will replace them.

If as many as four justices were to retire during the next presidency, it would give either party a massive advantage by being able to create a majority in the supreme court which could drastically alter the fabric of the nation. It is an important choice, but Jeb’s idea of it is just a fairy tale.
