On Thursday’s episode of “The Late Show,” Stephen Colbert dove deep into the latest election drama, beginning with the news that former Speaker of the House John Boehner had recently offered up current Speaker Paul Ryan as the Republican nominee if none of the current candidates can gain the majority of the delegates.

“Oh John Boehner. Paul Ryan already got you out of one sticky situation by agreeing to succeed you as Speaker of the House when no one else wanted the job. That doesn’t mean Paul Ryan can be your go-to flunky for everything!”

Colbert then mimicked Boehner subbing Paul Ryan in for everything from a dinner party Boehner didn’t want to go to (“Ryan is great at eating food!”), to volunteering Ryan to help move furniture for a friend (“He’s pretty jacked”).
