Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders has just been declared the winner of the Wisconsin primary caucus, marking his seventh state win in a row. The Saturday caucus was called for Sanders early on, and the candidate holds more than a 10 point lead in the state.

This is yet another forward momentum push for the underdog candidate who needs to win and win big in the remaining states in order to remain competitive against opponent Hillary Clinton.

The next primary match-up will be in New York where Clinton is currently enjoying a considerable lead. Sanders seeks to close that gap.
