It only makes sense that while Donald Trump hasn’t brought up the president’s nationality recently, someone was desperately needed to step up to the plate and say the thing that no one else was thinking about Obama.
Luckily, London mayor Boris Johnson did just that when he accused Obama of being Kenyan rather than American, explaining why he seemed not to care about UK-US relations. Johnson was specifically referring to the removal of the bust of Winston Churchill from White House grounds in 2008.
“Some said it was a snub to Britain. Some said it was a symbol of the part-Kenyan President’s ancestral dislike of the British empire – of which Churchill had been such a fervent defender.”
Boris dismissing President Obama as “half-Kenyan” reflects the worst Tea Party rhetoric #offensive https://t.co/fbFZilJ0Wf

Mask slips again. Boris part-Kenyan Obama comment is yet another example of dog whistle racism from senior Tories. He should withdraw it.

Racism runs deep and dirty, and even when you’ve served two respectable terms as president, you can’t get any respect from some political hack with a two dollar haircut (And no, once again, I’m not referring to Trump this time).
