MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” has never been known for his tact, but in the midst of the death of pop superstar Prince on Thursday, Scarborough sank to a new low when he attempted to shoehorn a half-hearted praise of Prince by comparing him to Republican frontrunner Donald Trump.

Considering that the morning conservative show has all but taken over the previous left-leaning network, you would think Scarborough would have more than enough time to adequately cover the two very different topics at different times, but maybe he had to squeeze in a bit of praise for Comcast before the commercial break.

The comment came when another pundit talked about Trump’s political flexibility, remarking on his ability to change what should be closely held political values at a moment’s notice.

“I’ll give you the last point in a second, but just on this other point where you said he’s so flexible. He’s like Prince — a shape-shifter, New York Times top left, election 2016, ‘Trump’s views on gay issues set him apart on the GOP.’”

Probably the one person in this world that it would be most inappropriate to link with Trump would be Prince, but ol’ Joe said it anyway!

Watch.
