A campaign in Colorado is looking to start the nation’s first state-based “single payer” health insurance system that will provide universal healthcare coverage and replace insurance premiums with higher taxes. Business interests in Colorado though – like The Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers and The Colorado Association of Commerce and industry – are building a coalition to block the measure.
