It’s been quite a few years since we’ve seen popular Saturday Night Live character Church Lady played by former cast member Dana Carvey, but on Saturday night she was returned to us just when we needed her the most.
The Church Lady commented on the Met Gala, Beyonce’s “Lemonade” and then, finally, the presidential election.
The Church Lady welcomed failed presidential candidate Ted Cruz, played by Taran Killem, who she introduced as “Satan.” Hilariously, the Church Lady asked Cruz,
“Has anyone ever told you that you’re just a little bit preachy?”
