Hey, Ben Carson finally woke up from his multi-week slumber to defend his good buddy Donald Trump!

On Thursday, Carson told reporters that though Trump continues to defend his remarks about Judge Curiel, he apparently privately told Carson that he regrets what he said.

“He fully recognizes that that was not the right thing to say.”

As far as Trump has gone, publicly, to pull back on the remarks is to say that they were “misconstrued,” but he still fully stands behind his call for the judge to be removed.

According to Carson, though, the remarks were just another dismissable gaffe.

“He was probably talking out loud rather than thinking. That’s not a good thing to do when everything you say is going to be analyzed.”

Ohhh, well in that case, at least Trump was speaking naturally without PLANNING his bigotry – that’s gotta be a comfort, right?

How many more days until the election again? Oh, a lot? Damn.
