As they are wont to do, the Westboro Baptist Church had set their eyes on the funerals of some of the victims of the Orlando shooting, planning to wave their hateful signs within sight of grieving families.
Though the universally reviled group had their plans, some other people had plans of their own. A group quickly assembled – and then grew. The plan was simply to create a human barrier of love and positivity to overpower the hateful speech of the few religious extremists.
“Love is stronger than hate” read the signs.
“Love wins.”
