Though many people have begun to make the transition to back Hillary Clinton in the general election, one of Bernie Sanders most devoted political allies says that she’s not quite ready to put her support behind the Democratic nominee.

Gabbard didn’t deny that the party has a presumptive candidate, so she clearly understands that Sanders will not be nominated, but the language she used suggested a careful distance from the process.

Wolf Blitzer asked if she were going to endorse Clinton to which Gabbard replied,

“I’m not prepared to do that. There are a lot of things I’m looking at. In particular this issue that she has not moved on at all on this campaign which is this commitment to continue this interventionist, regime-change policy in Syria that is proving to be so disastrous.”
