By listening to the cronies over at CNN, you might believe that Donald Trump is finally getting serious and ditching the jabs an insults for a more believable general election campaign.
I mean, just notice how many telepromptered speeches the man has begun to give, ditching his off-the-cuff talking style which has gotten him in so much trouble in favor of well-rehearsed and robotic parroting of words written by his campaign (and his daughter).
And yet, when the Donald gave a policy speech focused on trade deals and the American economy on Tuesday, he did so in front of what appears to be a giant pile of trash.
I mean, look at it, that’s definitely trash, right?
It appears that a metal recycling plant set up shop directly behind the Trump podium, with large cubes of crushed aluminum cans and other metals serving as a dingy yet colorful backdrop.
It was the perfect physical manifestation of a Trump candidacy: actual trash.
Watch.
