Australian comedian Jim Jefferies provided some much needed, outside perspective on America’s love affair with guns.
Jefferies points out that Americans often can’t offer up a good argument for gun ownership besides the fact that it feels good. Though if any nation would base an entire violent culture on what “feels good” it would have to be America.
“Your government went ‘maybe we’ll get rid of the big guns?’ And you all went ‘F*ck you, don’t take away my guns!'”
We do everything in excess, we buy the large fry, go on shopping sprees at the mall, and sometimes, we own dozens of killing machines just for fun. Ahh, America!
