During a press conference concerning the solemn subject of how to handle ISIS, an unnamed reporter was called out by State Department spokesperson John Kirby who took a break from his press release to question what sort of extra curricular activities the man was engaging in.

“You’re playing the Pokemon thing right there, aren’t you?”

The reporter, hopefully deeply embarrassed, replied,

“I’m just keeping an eye on it.”

Kirby then continued his report before shortly returning to the reporter to ask,

“Did you get one?”

The reporter replied,

“The signal’s not very good.”

Kirby then offered his condolences,

“I’m sorry about that,”

before returning to the issue at hand.

Considering that the default facial expression for Kirby is that of a concerned father who isn’t angry, just disappointed, it’s easy to assume that we won’t be seeing that reporter checking around for Pidgeys anymore while on the job – at least not under the spokeperson’s watchful gaze.

Watch.
