An attorney who refused to remove a Black Lives Matter pin from her lapel was removed from the courtroom and sentenced to five days in jail for contempt of court.

Attorney Andrea Burton was found in contempt of court after refusing to remove her lapel pin showing her support for the civil rights group Black Lives Matter. Burton was released on stay and is awaiting an appeal over the decision.
