We aren’t pleased by the fact that anyone’s home has been destroyed in the tragic floods happening all across Louisiana this week, but we couldn’t help but point out the irony.

A well-known anti-gay leader who regularly blames natural disasters on “the gays” had his own holy home destroyed by one of God’s little reminders this week.

Family Research Council president and homophobe Tony Perkins was one of thousands of Louisiana residents who were displaced by massive flood waters over this past week. Perkins is notable for his regular anti-gay rants and efforts to outlaw marriage equality. Perkins is the type who likes to equate homosexuality and pedophilia, effectively referring to homosexuality as a mental disorder or disease.

Perkins is also one of the many regressive evangelicals who like to blame natural disasters on homosexuals and other such sinners, making his own natural disaster a bit more . . .  interesting.

In 2015, Perkins referred to the damage caused by Hurricane Joaquin as punishment from God for homosexual sins.

“God is trying to send us a message.”

So what sort of message is God sending you, Tony?
