In his spineless and unceasing defense of Donald Trump, possibly-impeach-impending Chris Christie defended Trump’s call for no fact-checking at the debate, arguing that fact checkers might have a secret agenda.

I’m not sure what these conservatives don’t get on this subject – facts are facts – they’re either true, or they’re no longer facts. How is this negotiable?

Said Christie,

“If we’re gonna rely all the time on the fact-checkers, who also have an agenda, then we can discuss that as well.”

Okay, Governor, if we aren’t going to rely on givers of facts to give us facts, what are we supposed to rely on? Our own biased beliefs? Are we to expect every regular American to search out the truth in each statement, because I assure you that they are too busy and too apathetic to give a damn.

Everyone agrees that it is the duty of the media and journalism to pursue truth at all costs, but when it comes to your constantly-lying candidate, you’re willing to throw that all away?

Maybe Christie should focus more on the facts of his own political career and stop wasting his breath defending a man who not only insulted and defeated him, but wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.

Watch.
