This past week, amid his usual bull and bluster, Donald Trump made a statement which more than confirmed his totalitarian, fascist leanings during a rally in Ohio.
Trump knew he could say no wrong to his hoard of screaming adorers, so he suggested that his campaign should overthrow the election process and force himself into the position of President – something coming from the mouth of Clinton would have evoked actual pitchforks from the Trump crew.
Said Trump:
“What a difference. What a difference this is. I was just thinking to myself, we should just cancel the election, and just give it to Trump, right?”
As the crowd roared, Trump continued to question the necessity of an election, stating that Clinton’s “policies are so bad!”
For a man who claims to be so American, he continues to wholly defy and disrespect one of its most basic tenets of Democracy.
