So it’s two days post-election. You may be feeling a range of emotions – fearful, disbelieving, furious, indifferent. No matter how you feel, we must take action now – today – to ensure that we begin putting into place a new Democratic party. A party for the people. A party that would recognize the next Bernie Sanders and choose authenticity over corporatism.

As it stands now, there is no official vehicle to purge the DNC leadership or make those who actively contributed to this major loss of the Democratic party’s power pack up and leave. They were not elected, and therefore cannot be impeached.

But we cannot stand idly by and allow Donna Brazile and the rest of the DNC go about their merry ways. They must pay for what they did to our country, either deliberately or implicitly.

One notable fact is that Brazile is considered an interim chair, and likely, DNC leadership will either confirm her as the official chair or will replace her soon. Obama may play a role in this, but so can you.

So it’s time to make our voices heard. It’s time that we make it clear that so-called voter apathy over the Democratic nominee was truly voter anarchy, and we will not ever again support an inferior candidate who doesn’t listen to progressive America.

So today, speak up. Say you are sad or damned pissed off that we handed the nation to a Republican majority at every level. We may not be able to do much about that majority now, but it is our responsibility to rebuild our party so that in two years – and again in four – we can take back what should have been ours.

You can call, email, or send a letter to display your displeasure. Let’s flood the DNC establishment with our fury and our refusal to accept their malpractice.

You can find resources to contact the DNC here. We took a day to mourn, now is the time to take action.
