Now that Donald Trump has won the White House, he is rewarding all of his empty-headed, ass-backwards supporters with high level roles in his administration.

With each announcement, Trump’s picks are so absurd they make you want to laugh – before you realize that they won – so maybe instead you want to cry. The latest of these despicable (deplorable?) choices is the selection of white nationalist Stephen Bannon as Trump’s chief strategist.

Bannon made ripples months ago when he hopped onboard Trump’s campaign, serving as CEO, but no one thought that Trump would be diabolical enough to put the Breitbart owner in such a powerful position in the White House.

Backlash has been severe in the media, but its likely that most regular Americans don’t realize what Trump has just done.

The same man who pretended like he just didn’t notice that white supremacists were campaigning for him has just appointed a man who instigates and encourages disinformation to lead people to believe that a national identity based on race is supreme.

It’s worth nothing that just like Alt-right is a less harsh term for “racist,” so is white nationalist a subversive term to describe white supremacists – racists figured that “supremacist” was sending a too-harsh message.

The evidence of Bannon’s anti-semitism and racism lie in the countless headlines he approved or authored at Breitbart. You can find lists of some of the most absurd headlines with a quick google, but here is just one example from ATTN. Breitbart has compared Planned Parenthood to the Holocaust, as well as using racial and trans slurs in all caps.

In divorce proceedings, Bannon’s ex-wife said that he had openly pushed for his children to avoid going to school with Jews – another sign of his purity test.

So once again, while Trump pretends that he wants to be president for all people, his actions speak louder than his words. Despicable.
