In this Majority Report clip, we watch the Trump administration’s newly appointed national security advisor, Gen. Michael Flynn, appear on Al Jazeera. The anchor, Mehdi Hassan, brings up one of Flynn’s tweets that stated, “Fear of Muslims is rational.” Flynn says that he was referencing the video or article the tweet posted, that it was about radical Islamic terrorists, but…the guy is fixated on Muslims, and is now in a position of incredible power to act on his beliefs. And they are “beliefs”—he’s already convinced the president-elect of the United States that it’s better to get in bed with Russia immediately to fight these people together than to avoid incredibly complex, world-altering decisions in order to fight a costantly evolving and moving non-nation-state threat.
