The traditional media has been going down the tubes for years, and investigative journalism had essentially gone belly-up in America, until average citizens became so fed up with this system that they decided to do something about it. Out of that frustration grew the New Media – blogs, online videos, and citizen journalism. Today, these outlets have become the new mainstream media.
