On Friday, the intelligence community released a report which was titillatingly labeled “de-classified” which they claimed was their evidence that Russia did indeed participate in a hack of the 2016 election.

While many people simply believed the claims of corporate media and barely looked past the headline, anyone who looked into this report quickly discovered that the claims made by the intelligence community remained woefully without evidence.

What they did instead was release a report which looked less like a scathing exposé and more of a P.R. piece which repeatedly criticized RT America for daring to report on fracking, global warming, Occupy Wall Street, and more. The report named a Ring of Fire Network host Abby Martin and blamed, in part, her show “Breaking the Set” which ended in 2014.

As Martin herself humorously pointed out, “Official DNI report on Russia says my show Breaking the Set, that ended 2 yrs ago, helped cost Hillary the election.”

What’s more, Democratic establishment leadership were all too keen to play their part in the cover-up, with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi calling the report a “stunning disclosure.”

But how Pelosi could consider the report to be “stunning,” is a mystery – in its 50 pages, the report did not offer one bit of conclusive evidence which might indicate that Russia had a direct role in the release of any leaks nor rigging any parts of the election.

While the intelligence community continues to argue that they cannot release their proof without endagering sources – a possibly truthful statement – the least Democrats and others could do is not fear-monger and mislead the public about what is and what isn’t the truth.

Pelosi and her ilk should reserve their McCarthy-esque red-baiting and wait, like the rest of us, for the proof.
