Despite the fact that the President of the United States openly and without a doubt accused his predecessor of wire-tapping him prior to the November election, every official and committee has begun to conclusively report that no such tapping of his wires occurred.

Much to the chagrin of the ever-paranoid POTUS, several of Trump’s appointees were forced to admit in the last few days that any supposed breech was nothing more than the early-morning rantings of an unstable man.

Republican Congressman Devin Nunes, a member of the Congressional Intelligence Committee, reported in a press conference on Wednesday morning that neither he nor anyone else in the Committee see evidence of President Trump’s “wire tapping” claims.

Said Nunes:

“We don’t have any evidence that took place…I don’t think there was an actual tap of Trump Tower.”

Democratic Congressman Adam Schliff, another member of the Committee, expressed his deep concern toward the President’s lack of forethought and tact by making such a strong accusation without evidence.

“It deeply concerns me that the President would make such an accusation without basis.”

Jeff Sessions, too, had to admit that the wire tap claims held no water. When asked if he had ever given the President any reason to believe he had been wiretapped, Sessions replied a bumbling “Well look, my answer, um no.”

No doubt this scandal will be swept under the rug by so many others, but the reality here is that our President made an incredibly serious accusation, breeched presidential conduct regarding civility, and based it all on a report from Breitbart. Our president needs to understand the importance of choosing his words carefully and using the multitude of resources at his disposal as the most powerful man in the country.
