TYT contributor Ryan Grim reports on Donald Trump’s pick to chair the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) which oversees Wall. St. banking. Jay Clayton is a Wall Street lawyer who has specialized in helping the big banks circumvent the law, and maximize exploitation of taxpayer dollars. Grim recommends Adam Davidson’s article in The New Yorker exploring how Trump’s hotel dynasty helped build a hotel in Azerbaijan that appears to be a corrupt operation engineered by oligarchs tied to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. Due to Trump’s apparent violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, it makes sense that he would choose a lawyer that has spent his career fighting it.
