President Donald Trump is really very upset that we all think he shouldn’t go golfing every weekend because really, he could be spending even more taxpayer money if he wanted!

At least that’s how he described it in an interview this week with Fox News when he explained that he likes to visit his own properties because they cost far less to secure than Trump Tower in New York City.

“I have a lot of property. So if I go to my clubs like in New Jersey, they’ll say, ‘Oh he is going to play golf.’ I am not going to play golf. I couldn’t care less about golf,”

President Trump said that he would hate for anyone to think he is “relaxing,” when he visits his various properties, noting that he is working very hard for the American people.

“It would be much better if people would understand that I could go other places that I have. But then they hit me for relaxing. And I don’t want to be known as a person that relaxes because I am working hard and I am working hard for the people.”

Despite the fact that Trump also said he “couldn’t care less about golf,” the POTUS has been spotted in his usual golfing gear on nearly every trip to his properties. Whether or not he “cares” about it, he sure does it an awful lot.

It is true that the POTUS hasn’t been to Trump tower since his inauguration, an interesting decision considering that is where his wife Melania and son Barron are currently residing. Occasionally, Melania will make a trip to Mar-A-Lago to see her husband, or make an appearance at the White House for an official government event.

While Trump is correct that a trip to New York City would be much more costly to the American people, that does not mean that his dalliances across the country at his private clubs are more acceptable. He should do as he promised as a candidate and do his best to remain at the White House – at least until we can figure out what’s going on!
