A new study released by the Roosevelt Institute, does what was thought to be impossible: measure the impact of money on politics. The biggest spenders on Capitol Hill, the telecommunications and finance sectors, amassed more power through payments to politicians and were able to rollback regulations for their industries. Now we have the data to prove just how they impacted those votes in Congress. Currently, we’re under the presidency with the most conflicts of interest in history and voters should know to what degree money influences the decisions that politicians make. Correspondent Naomi Karavani covers this groundbreaking study of money in politics.
