The new Trump-appointed FCC is hell-bent on deregulating all kinds of industries including the internet, which many know about, but few are aware of their next target which is the local news. Thanks to looser restrictions, the pro-Trump conservative media company, the Sinclair Broadcast Group, will purchase so many local news stations that they will have access to the 72% of American households. What will be the implications for the information landscape in the coming years? Correspondent Naomi Karavani discusses the impacts of this merger on local news.
