Earning pay lower than Eeyore’s morale, Disneyland employees are protesting their lack of a living wage, which has many employees sleeping out of their cars. While Disney’s CEO makes tens of millions of dollars, it may take a real fairy godmother to increase Ariel the Mermaid’s salary. This black eye on what should be the “Happiest place on Earth” shows that, even with an insane amount of money from theme parks, movies, merchandise and more, Disney is still just like any other corporation whose motto is profit over people.
