Republican Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins is under fire today after posting a wildly Islamophobic rant to his verified Facebook page. That rant was a response to the London terrorist attacks – which prompted Higgins to claim that “The free world… all of Christendom… is at war with Islamic horror.” Higgins went on to refer to “Islamic radicals” as “heathen animals” and tell his 200,000 Facebook followers that, “Every conceivable measure should be engaged to hunt them down. Hunt them, identify them, and kill them. Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all.” How is this kind of Clash of Civilizations language any different than the kind of stuff we hear from the Taliban or Al Qaeda?
