After news emerged that his son met with Russians to allegedly gain access to damaging intel on Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump went on the offensive and started accusing former FBI director James Comey of committing a felony by leaking classified information.  This man has lost his mind (if he ever had it) and that is dangerous for Americans. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

Donald Trump has never been a man that I think many people would classify as mentally stable, but in the last few weeks, we’ve begun seeing even his already fragile mind unraveling even further. In the wake of the revelations about his son meeting with a Russian national in exchange I guess for getting information about Hillary Clinton for the campaign, Trump decides to do what he does best, and he went on Twitter and he started attacking James Comey. Why? Because Fox News was trying to deflect attention away from Trump Jr., and say that with James Comey, that memo he released, that contained classified info, so he committed a felony.

Trump again goes on Twitter, says, “James Comey released classified information, that’s illegal.” This is the second time, the second major time, possibly have been more, that Donald Trump has gotten on his Twitter account and accused someone in this country of committing a felony. He did it when he said that Barack Obama wiretapped his office, and now he’s done with James Comey saying he leaked classified information, which is a felony if he actually leaked classified information.

Donald Trump’s reaction to the entire Russia story is to deflect, to lie, to accuse others of breaking the law, any attempt to distract the American public. As we’ve seen, his lies, his train of thought is becoming so obscure and irrational, that it’s very hard to believe that this man has a fully functioning human brain in his head. I do not think for one second that Donald Trump is a mentally stable person. I do personally believe that he has some kind of mental illness or some kind of affliction that affects his mental capabilities that should bar him from serving as president of the United States.

To be honest, folks, I’m not the only one that thinks this. That group of psychiatrists from Yale also seems to think this. All of the people around this country who made 25th Amendment trend on Twitter, they also believe this. If we look at all of the available evidence that Donald Trump himself has given us as a window into mental capacity, it’s very difficult for anyone to conclude that this is a rational thinking human being. Donald Trump is becoming more unhinged than usual.

As this Russia story, as this collusion story, as the Mueller investigation goes even deeper, we’re going to see more of this. What’s truly terrifying about it is not just that this man has the nuclear codes, it’s the fact that he has used his office to bully people, to harass people, to encourage others to do the same. As this investigation goes deeper, he’s going to be doing that a lot more. He’s going to be basically calling people to violence, like the recent NRA ad did.

When that happens, because I don’t think it’s a question of if, I think it’s a question of when, when that happens, we could see real-world consequences. People could get hurt or worse as a result of Donald Trump’s desperation to do everything within his power, and even things that are beyond the power of the presidency to make this investigation go away because he understands, as most Americans I believe do, that when this investigation ends, it will also likely be the end of his presidency.
