Yesterday on Fox News Radio, Brian Kilmeade criticized Obama’s recent focus on climate change and said that “it is almost treason” for the president to do so. Kilmeade believes that the research of 97 percent of the scientific community that agrees on climate change to be skewed science and an apparent liberal plot.
Kilmeade noted how apparently the weather hundreds of years ago would become excessively hot. Considering this was before the use of fossil fuels, he used that single instance as an argument. However, only recently have record-breaking heatwaves been consistent and increasingly worse.
A guest on Kilmeade’s show said that the president should be speaking to the United Nations before making executive decisions. The U.N. has already weighed in on climate change. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which is a U.N. panel, already said last year that humans are the dominant cause of climate change. Just this year, the IPCC released a report indicating the consequences of unchecked climate change.
Evidence of climate change has been placed in front of their faces over and over, but right-wing climate deniers continue to shrug off the warning signs. But conservatives seem to only hear the information they want, don’t they?
