In 2007 and 2008, the media was buzzing with news about the possibility of an African American winning the presidency. There were many in the media who believed that Obama’s election meant that America was becoming a post-racial country. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and as we’ve seen from Tea Partiers and Fox News pundits, racism is still alive and well in America.
