Republicans have an awfully difficult time letting go of the past. Ronald Reagan is a god to them, and they’re still complaining about Romney’s 2012 loss. Republican Senate candidate and knucklehead Scott Brown thinks if Romney won two years ago, that Ebola wouldn’t be a problem for American.
During a segment of Fox News Radio with Brian Kilmeade, Brown complained and lamented about how Romney would have kept America from worrying about Ebola.
“Gosh can you imagine if Mitt was the president right now?” said Brown. “He was right on Russia, he was right on Obamacare, he was right on the economy. And I guarantee you we would not be worrying about Ebola right now and, you know, worrying about our foreign policy screw ups.”
Brown’s ridiculous opinions and commentary on Ebola in America have been mind-numbingly dumb and off base. Last week, Brown said that Ebola-infected terrorists can enter the country from Mexico because our borders aren’t secure enough. Thinking otherwise would be “naive,” according to Brown.
“We have a border that’s so porous that anyone can walk across it,” said Brown. “I think it’s naive to think that people aren’t going to be walking through here who have those types of diseases and/or types of intent, criminal or terrorist.”
A week prior to that statement, Brown also said that his “concern is with our unprotected border where people with Ebola and other infectious diseases can enter the country without being challenged.”
Brown is just adding to the Ebola hysteria, casting fear out to potential voters to secure his office. He does this by piggybacking on the loss of Mitt Romney, a defeat still lamented by Republicans today. It’s time they got over the loss, and stopped using Ebola scare tactics to win votes.
