Coming off a series of wins in the midterm elections, Republicans are trying to rewrite history and continue their refusal to work with the president on immigration. Jon Stewart pointed out that some of the points they’re making couldn’t be more asinine.

Mitt Romney, appearing on Face the Nation, said, “The president has got to realize that he lost this last election round. The American people spoke loud and clear.”

Stewart couldn’t let the hypocrisy of the moment slip by and added, “You know, I remember the American people saying quite loudly and clearly a few year back, ‘Ixnay on the Itt-may.’ And yet, here you are on the elevision-tay talking it-shay.'”
